We Design & Manufacture our own unique range of scarves & shawls, many made from Australian Merino Wool. Available in vibrant solid colours, hand-embroidered, abstract printed or digital design. There is something for everyone’s taste & price point. Also included in our range are beautiful Scarves in: Hand-Loomed Silk, Cotton, Modal & Linen. The colours of many in our scarf range are derived from a centuries old process of dyes extracted from plant & vegetable sources. This gives them a vibrant, natural look, smell & feel.

The Artisans in far right image are my family members/relatives who are the very best & sought after for our Centuries old Artwork. They were commissioned by the National Trust of Art,Culture & Heritage to restore this treasured 12th Century Mosque in Srinagar Kashmir know as Khanqah-e-Moula (a.k.a. Shah-e-Hamadan). In November 2017 parts of the mosque were destroyed/badly damaged in a fire. These Artisans worked tirelessly for 6 months to restore the dome, spire and it’s surrounds to it’s former glory.

Papier Machie was introduced to Kashmir in the 14th Century by a famous Persian Sufi Mystic named Mir Sayyid Ali Hamadani. Alongwith 700 of his followers, talented craftsmen and artists who worked on many projects commissioned by the Mughal rulers, they eventually settled in Kashmir. They introduced many artistic, useful artforms that are used up to this day and globally recognised as from Kashmir. Papier Machie, the original sustainable product is made from Paper Pulp obtained mainly from recycled sources. The mixture is shaped onto a clay or a metal mould into the desired shape. then followed by several days of sun/air drying. It is then sanded by hand until smooth, subjected to various stages of design application, and hand painting (colours from plant & vegetable dyes) until the process is complete.

Manufacturing methods used today in Kashmir have barely changed over the centuries. Artisans still work from their homes. The designs are mainly of Flora & Fauna from the environment of the Himalayan Region which have an abundance of forests, lakes, mountains, and many beautiful gardens built by the Mughals. The majority of traditional artwork and handicrafts from Kashmir will have elements from nature, flowers, birds, and animals. An eternal, recurring theme in this region’s Art is the Tree Of Life design. After living in Australia for 30+ years, I have adapted my designs to showcase the wonderful unique landscape here in Australia. Our unique Native birds and animals and iconic landmarks e.g. Sydney Harbour and The Opera House
