Bulbul Trading cushions are made from natural wool and canvas.Every square centimetre of chain-stitch items are covered with a continuous chain-stitch. Crewel work, while using the same stitch is only semi-embroidered defining only the embroidered design.
These items are made by many artisans in Kashmir. From amongst my family members and talented artisans with in the community. As with all handicrafts made in Kashmir, it is a cottage industry. Their skills learnt from their forefathers, passed down through the generations.
These items are made from 100% wool sourced from both Australia and New Zealand. All colours used are derived from plants & vegetables in a process unchanged for centuries. Our range also includes Chain-stitch Floor Rugs & wall hangings.
Care Instructions
Washing and care instructions can be found on each individual item. Smaller items eg cushion covers can be hand washed in cool water with laundry soap. Larger items we recommend Dry Cleaning or by a qualified carpet cleaner.
Do Not Machine Wash.
